Inspired by French Modernist chalets, Yellow City has clean lines, rich, natural textures and luxurious minimalist details throughout. A careful renovation was done preserving much of the home’s original charm but further elevating each detail. The flow of the layout has been improved, finishes carefully considered, and furniture pieces hand-selected the end result is a backdrop for beautiful, effortless living. The lower level has been transformed into a chic entertaining space directly opening up to the pool, as well as an additional guest bedroom. A complete renovation of the kitchen includes new high end appliances and cabinetry, limestone tile on the floors and Carrara marble counter-tops. The bathrooms have been fitted with swoon-worthy Fantini fixtures and stone basins. There is new HVAC, the home is now fully electric, new cedar decking and a heated, saltwater pool. A long, winding driveway leads you into the property, the home is sited with the utmost privacy and is under 5m to Troutbeck where there is a fabulous restaurant. You are under 10m to the Wassaic train station which offers long term parking if you want to leave a car upstate, and 2h to NYC.
